Rarely seen in a semi-sneak shoulder mount, this big Gemsbok bull has been posed with its head down and turned slightly to the viewer's left. He has an average pair of detachable horns and great detailing throughout. His coat is a lovely combination of browns, black, and white. The animal has a relaxed expression. This mount has been given a taxidermy quality rating of Excellent.

The gemsbok, gemsbuck or South African oryx is a large antelope in the genus Oryx. It is native to the arid regions of Southern Africa, such as the Kalahari Desert. Some authorities formerly included the East African oryx as a subspecies.
