Nice African Red Duiker Taxidermy Shoulder Mount SW11079

This is an outstanding, and relatively rare, Red Duiker shoulder mount. The alert animal has been posed to look straight forward. Its hair is a beautiful mixture of reds, browns and black. It has good-sized horns and alert ears. Its ears are not perfect, but the otherwise wonderful craftsmanship of this item has earned it our taxidermy quality rating of Nice.

Scientific Name: Cephalophinae

A duiker is a small to medium-sized brown antelope native to sub-Saharan Africa, found in heavily wooded areas. The 22 extant species, including three sometimes considered to be subspecies of the other species, form the subfamily Cephalophinae.
