Excellent African Nyala Taxidermy Shoulder Mount GB4149

A relatively rare African trophy, this Nyala has been mounted from the shoulder up, in a semi-sneak pose, with its head turned slightly to the viewer's left. It has large, beautiful horns. Its coat is a plethora of different shades of brown. These light and dark browns are accented by the lighter coloration of the animal’s face and the symmetrical splotches of white that define the piece. We have given this mount our rating of Excellent.

Please Note: If you plan to mount this in a location where it can be seen from the top, the stitching of the hide is noticeable. (See photos.)

About the Nyala

Scientific Name: Tragelaphus angasii

The lowland nyala or simply nyala, is a spiral-horned antelope native to southern Africa as well as the Bale region of Ethiopia. It is a species of the family Bovidae and genus Nyala, also considered to be in the genus Tragelaphus. It was first described in 1849 by George French Angas.
